We’ve been working with Drupal and e-commerce since Drupal 5, building shops that ship physical products, sell digital downloads, sell subscriptions and tickets. Some interesting examples include Robbie Williams merchandise store, Soccer Coaching Club.
Drupal Commerce has expanded Drupal’s e-commerce capabilities significantly from what was possible with UberCart in Drupal 5 and 6. Drupal Commerce brings the flexibility of a framework meaning that bespoke subscription purchases and bespoke checkouts can be easily implemented.
