Digibury: "Yes. But is it art?"
The great Digibury debate
As part of March Digibury, we tried something a little bit different. Following the reveal of Project Conway, we held an art-meets-tech debate with members of the art and creative world exploring the impact technology has on art.
The panel was made up of Rosie Turner, Canterbury Arts Festival Director, Daniel Lennox, Head of Digital at Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group, Beth Cuenco, Director of Workers of Art and Cathy Westbrook, Founder of FutureDream.
Topics for discussion included the shift between technology and art, what techology will help the theatre and art audience 'experience' – and the big one: is Project Conway art? The debate flowed, and the fantastic audience got involved too!
It was an excellent evening and we hope to have more debates as part of future Digiburys.
Special thanks to Chris Duncan of Spark Film Production who created all the films for our Digibury special. You rock!
